Principal

Michael Kubik brings more than 25 years of successful leadership experience. Over those years, he has been an adept problem solver, entrepreneur, innovator, activator, and dynamic leader.

For the past 9 years, Michael has worked as an independent consultant supporting both large and small businesses. His large business engagements include creating a sourcing center of excellence at a Fortune 10 company and restructuring a Procurement team at a $3.5B Construction and Engineering firm. His small business support includes business initiation and restructuring, innovation programs, new product development, dispute resolution, process documentation (including Standard Operating Procedures and ISO 9001:2008), small business program support, and general management. Michael works as a professional witness focusing on Forensic Business Analysis, Business Practices, Process, Due Diligence, and Procurement. Michael created the F.A.S.T. Company Review, has managed a small education software company, and supported an educational foundation.

From 2014 through early 2016, Michael worked as the Chief Operating Officer for Bus Air Manufacturing (a diversified Air Conditioning manufacturing, installation, services, and metal fabrication company serving the school bus, emergency, and heavy duty vehicle markets), where he was responsible for the work output of more than 50 employees and contractors. Bus Air achieved 30% revenue grown each of the past two years, a 300% increase in manufacturing capability, and a 100% increase in output from the Tulsa Facility under Michael’s leadership. Michael also managed the complete conversion of the IT environment to a new managed services provider and platform, completed the third ISO 9001:2008 re-certification (a program that he put in place as a consultant to Bus Air), and defined, wrote, and implemented Standard Operating Procedures across all functional areas of the company.

Prior to starting his consultancy, Michael worked for Perot Systems where his responsibilities included: Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) duties; globalizing the Procurement team; managing a team of 40 through the roll out of centralized procurement to India, Mexico, Europe and the Philippines; all HR and hiring activities; budget; driving customer care and savings initiatives (resulted in more than $50M in savings over 2 years); serving on the Business Process Outsourcing Executive Committee; and creating a BPO Procurement offering.

While at Telcordia Technologies, Michael worked on Wireless Number Portability and Next Generation Networking (Voice over IP) moving projects from sale through implementation and customer management during lifecycle; winning an award for excellence on both projects.

Michael worked at AT&T Solutions during its initial formation and growth stage. He was the first Associate admitted into their Client Partner Track Program, and is a 1998 graduate of AT&T’s Leadership Development Program. His accomplishments at AT&T Solutions include building the Procurement program for the Textron Account, managing a team that drove service delivery improvement in procurement across Solutions and all of its customers, closing significant add-on business, and documenting and implementing the Solution's sales process and training program.

Prior to beginning his career in high-tech, Michael owned and operated a general contracting business for 9 years. He used his earnings from that business to pay for 100% of his education. Michael has a Master’s Degree in Planning from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He lives in Plano, TX with his wife Jami and three children.
